When I travel my medium of choice is watercolor. The paints are portable and compact and I can carry them easily in my carry-on luggage. It’s been a while since I worked with watercolor so it felt refreshing to paint with them, using them loosely while building up colors with transparent overlays. I worked in a panoramic format since the landscape lent itself to wide views. Indeed, the majority of my photographs were panoramas as well. My travels this summer took me to Iceland and Europe.  Now I can add several new countries to my list of places I’ve been including Iceland, Denmark, Austria, the Czech Republic and a wonderful visit back to my favorite city Amsterdam.
