After graduating as an undergraduate from art school (a hundred) years ago, I set forth to travel all over Europe. I wanted to see the museums and famous paintings I had only dreamed of seeing in art books. I traveled with my boyfriend, also an art student, and we spent hours sitting in our hotel rooms working on our art as we toured through Europe. This painting of Paul is one of many I painted of him. He was often my model but more importantly he served as a springboard, a subject for me develop my painting ideas. The small watercolor is inspired by cubism.
