Description
Into the Tunnel is another view of the Kapoho Kalapana Road, aka Red Road.
Originally the Red Road was actually paved with a mix of red cinder that gave it it’s red color. By the time I painted Into the Tunnel, the Red Road had since been paved over with black pavement but still had a red hue from rust colored foliage and dirt. Depending on one’s perspective, one can either enter or exit the painting via the road, traveling directly through the tree tunnel where it disappears in the distance.
