Description
One of the benefits of living on the east side of the Big Island are the spectacular sunrises over the ocean. During the volcanic eruption I was treated to the additional dynamic of the laze cloud created by the molten lava as it flowed into the ocean several miles away. At one point during the active flow, the lava entry stretched for two miles over the coast line. Billowing along the coast, the laze became my subject matter for the several months the eruption was active.
