I painted this watercolor and gouache painting in the south of France many moons ago. I joined up with my sister who was part of a group of students working on an archeological dig of an old chateau and chapel. We spent days digging away plant growth and earth to discover a 600 year old chapel. During breaks my sister and I painted watercolors. This is one of the paintings that captures the bumpy terrain and path way from the site, with just a glimpse of the castle on the side.
