I painted Cape Cod Dunes during a summer painting retreat with my painting group in Cape Cod. I woke up before sunrise to get to the beach, expecting to catch the sunrise over the ocean. Instead, the beach was socked in with fog! Disappointed at first, I decided to sit down with my watercolors and paint anyway. The mist added a mystery to the view and I was intrigued with the grasses poking through the sand, as well as the distant dunes that nearly disappeared in the fog and drizzle.
