Weir Farm Oak Tree was painted in a gorgeous, national park in located in Connecticut, that inspires creativity and art. The first time I visited Weir Farm was during my first year of graduated school in 2013. I fell in love with the natural surroundings, stately stone walls and preserved farm buildings. This oak tree commands a particular presence with its thick, twisted trunk and weighted branches. It has inspired me to paint it in several of my paintings.
