The Sewell’s Mill is one of several watercolors I painted of the old watermill house, set behind the Sewell’s house on Downs Road, Bethany, CT. The mill sits along side a stone dam, surrounded by trees and foliage. It looks like I painted this during the summer, using a palette of atmospheric tones of soft blues and greens.
