The Wave (Sold)

Description

Shortly after my mother died last year, my siblings and I gathered on Martha’s Vineyard where we shared a week together for some healing time during the first week in July. This painting was inspired by a walk along a gorgeous, private beach in the morning. The day started very misty but as the sun rose, the mist started to clear, The horizon was still a bit hazy when I took the photo that inspired this painting. It captures the magic and stunning beauty of this single wave and tide as it laps along the boulder studded shoreline.
