Description
Still relatively a new resident of the Big Island, I have recently begun to visit and explore new locations on the other sides of the island for pleinair painting.
Keokea Beach Park is a remarkable cove I found near Hawi on the north coast of Hawaii. The distant cliffs with larger stones and boulders along the shore in the foreground made for a great horizontal format watercolor painting. One can see a glimpse of the island of Maui just beyond the cliffs that blend in with the bluert clouds along the horizon. The late day sunlight shown golden light as it reflected on the water surface, waves and rolling surf.
