Description
Going Green is a study that I painted which both simplifies and intensifies a look at the many shades of greens seen in the lush, tropical foliage here on the Big Island of Hawaii. How does one describe the brilliant sunlight as it illuminates the growth from behind, creating facets of backlit leaves and dancing shadows? The amount of greens here is endless and mixing the right colors to express those greens is a creative challenge.
