Anthurium Medley, is a watercolor collage created by using torn and cut pieces of watercolor paintings that did not feel complete to me. I found that by ‘recycling’ these paintings… either by reassembling parts of the painting or by combining fragments from other paintings, I could create an image that was both surprising, yet revealing. The abstractions often capture the essence of a subject without over defining the subject.
