Veiled Horizon

Veiled Horizon. As I approached the coast today with my painting group, I surprised everyone by painting on one of my round canvases. The circle format surprises me each time I paint on it since it forces me to choose a composition that has no corners. The focus is on the vertical movement of the palm trees balanced by the strong horizontal horizon line. Both are crucial to the seascape as they seem to anchor stability against the strong winds and rough waves of the day.
