Cape Cod houses, flower gardens, narrow windy streets, light, shade, trees, tourists and peek-a-boo views of the water. These are just a few of the treats one sees in Provincetown during the summer. I painted this painting using black paint for the first time. One of the rules I have always heard in painting is to never to use black paint. Well, rules are made to be broken and that’s what I did when I reached for black, using it to trace lines and mix with my colors. It suited the mood on this overcast and gray day in town. Happy with my rendition of Provincetown.
