Description
Today the luminous purple leaves on the plant Persian Shield, grabbed my attention. The leaves on this plant are a luminous purple and magenta color. Planted in front of a bamboo grove, the colors created a medley of yellows, greens, purples and rich shadows of greens and mauve. I experimented with yupo painting paper as well, which altered the quality of the watercolor. It made it easy to swipe off paint after I applied it, and I found I could reveal the white of the paper again which one can’t do on normal absorbent watercolor paper.
