Daisies seemed an apt title for this painting because of the mixed directions I pursued when painting this floral. At the time I had been painting a series of floral themed paintings. It was summer and I had a friend who brought me a beautiful new bouquet each week. I had been studying cubism and was applying the idea of restructuring form on the canvas. However in Diversified Daisies it appears I combined a traditional interpretation of form with my exploration of cubism within the same painting, Clearly inspired by the colors and shapes of the flowers, this is a pretty painting and it marks a place in my artistic development.
