Blue Detrus is built from accumulated fragments—slivers of blues, teals, greens, and muted earth tones layered and interwoven across the surface. The painting reads like a field of remnants: pieces gathered, shifted, and reassembled into a new rhythm. Nothing is central; the eye moves continuously, catching on edges, overlaps, and quiet color shifts.
Working intuitively, I allowed the fractured forms to guide the composition, responding to their angles and intervals rather than imposing a fixed structure. The result is a sense of movement and density that feels both restless and meditative—like debris carried by water, memory, or time.
This abstraction reflects my ongoing interest in impermanence and accumulation—how landscapes, experiences, and emotions break apart and recombine. Blue Detrus holds the quiet beauty of what remains: fragments not discarded, but gathered into a living, breathing whole.
