Recently I was moved to paint the beautiful objects around me. These are all familiar objects from the past…Â a lovely wooden figure sculpture carved by my late uncle, a samovar owned by my grandfather, a house plant, and the earliest painting my sister made when she was six. Living at home again I am surrounded by objects, each filled with its own memory and story. Painting them together creates a new chord or visual poetry not heard or seen before.
