Aloha! I’m Abbie Rabinowitz, your retreat leader, and facilitator. I am a trained and experienced, award-winning fine artist (MFA), painting instructor, and retreat leader, with years of practice teaching both en pleinair landscape and abstract painting.
I am insanely inspired by the Big Island! The raw nature and transformative energy of this volcanic island, as well as the rich Hawaiian culture, lured me back again and again. After years of painting pilgrimages, I finally made this island my home and I am passionate about sharing my inspiration with others.
I promise to facilitate your experience with encouragement and gentle, supportive critique. Whether you are new to painting or a seasoned artist, it will be my pleasure to support you in finding and expressing your unique artistic voice.
Delicious and well-rounded nutritious meals will once again be provided twice daily by Chef Robin Worley.
She is already dreaming up a fabulous fare of omnivore, vegetarian and/or vegan menu options for 2023. The menu will include some old favorites and some new thoughtfully designed, mouth-watering, wholesome dishes created from locally grown organic ingredients.
Robin truly enjoys growing food, as well as creating with locally produced ingredients to offer you an exotic island-style global cuisine. She is an artist herself who works in fashion design and 3-dimensional multi-media art as well as painting, and of course… the art of cuisine.
